Market Risk Analyst Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure that market risk is effectively monitored and controlled.

  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks across various asset classes to maintain optimal value-at-risk levels.
  • Actively minimize group market risk through strategic trading activities, escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Analyse flow across multiple asset classes and optimize its monetization for maximum efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Market Risk and Trading Operations teams to develop and implement electronic trading infrastructure projects.
  • Liaise with prime brokers and liquidity providers to enhance operations and maintain relationships.
  • Manage the rolling of spot FX and metals positions past settlement dates with prime brokers.
  • Support the efficient operation of client trading environments, technical performance of liquidity providers, and trading infrastructure.
  • Prepare reports and analysis as required by immediate managers and senior management.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including Operations, Customer Services, Sales, Marketing, and Compliance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A solid understanding of market risk and trading within a reputable FX/CFDs broker.
  • Relevant certifications in business or finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different channels and teams.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong numerical skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
