is seeking a dynamic
Financial Controller
to join our Group Finance team He will be reporting to the Head of Accounting.

In this key leadership role, you will oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, regulatory compliance, and strategic financial planning. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for driving financial excellence, we'd love to hear from you

As a Financial Controller, your tasks will include the following:

• Oversee accounting operations, including billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, cost accounting, and revenue recognition
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and coordinate statutory reporting
• Maintain and enhance business processes, internal controls, and accounting policies
• Liaise with external auditors and address any financial discrepancies
• Perform additional financial management responsibilities as needed

What we look for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field; postgraduate degree in Finance is desirable
• 3+ years of proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
• Fully qualified accountant ACA / ACCCA
• Excellent knowledge of English (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) Extra languages desired.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Navision and D365 F&O).
• Excellent accounting software user, Microsoft Excel and administration skills.
• Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advance level certification is desirable
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
• Well organized, self-driven, flexible and able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)
Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

• A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
• Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
• HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Financial background check
• Employment reference check
• If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK

In addition, if personnel are required to speak to SELT candidates they must be appropriately skilled in English language and, where SELT services are provided anywhere in the world (outside of the UK), the official language of the relevant country.
