Finance Supervisor role
within a dynamic and expanding finance team?

Our client, a leading organisation within the
real estate and investment management industry
, is seeking a
Financial Accountant Supervisor
to join their finance department. This role will primarily focus on supporting their
UK entity
, offering exposure to complex, cross-border accounting operations and reporting.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Auditor looking to make their first move into industry, mentor junior team members, and play a key part in shaping the finance function within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review the work of junior accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
  • Oversee month-end procedures, including
    journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations
    .
  • Prepare and review
    management accounts, budgets, and cash flow reports
    for UK real estate entities.
  • Maintain intercompany ledgers, reconcile balances, and ensure accurate group reporting.
  • Support
    statutory financial statements
    preparation and liaise with auditors and external advisors.
  • Prepare and review
    VAT and tax returns
    for UK entities.
  • Identify and implement
    process improvements
    and strengthen internal controls.

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
    .
  • 3–5 years' experience
    in accounting, ideally with post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical understanding of
    IFRS
    (UK GAAP exposure is an advantage).
  • Proven experience
    supervising or mentoring
    junior accountants.
  • Excellent analytical and reconciliation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in
    Microsoft Excel
    ; experience with
    Business Central
    is a plus.
  • Fluent in
    English
    , both written and spoken.
