Role Overview

We are looking for an Operations Officer to ensure smooth daily operations of our core banking and payments platform. The role focuses on incident handling, vendor coordination, documentation, and supporting internal teams. The Operations Officer will also oversee quality assurance activities, ensuring that testing and releases meet operational standards, while technical execution remains with developers or QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor day-to-day operational stability and escalate issues as needed.
  • Oversee QA by coordinating test schedules, tracking results, and confirming operational readiness before releases.
  • Investigate operational or system issues and manage them through to resolution with internal teams or vendors.
  • Act as the bridge between business teams (Compliance, Finance, Customer Support) and technical staff.
  • Liaise with vendors and developers, follow up on tickets, and escalate unresolved matters.
  • Keep process and system documentation up to date.
  • Provide regular reports on open issues, resolutions, and operational performance.
  • Support projects and feature rollouts from an operations perspective.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in operations or support in fintech, banking, or financial services.
  • Understanding of payment flows and operational processes in a financial institution.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and structured in following up on issues.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with Jira or other ticketing tools.
  • Basic knowledge of API workflows and SQL for validation.
  • Experience in EMI, PI, or BaaS environments.
