Finance Officer
to join the team based at their HQ in
Nicosia, Cyprus.

Finance Officer - Ref. (6073/FO/ESS/CY)

Role Overview:

The Finance Officer will support the daily financial and accounting operations of the Group. The role includes processing transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing bank, cash flow, and regulatory reports and assisting with tax submissions and audits. Working closely with internal teams, external partners, and banks, the Finance Officer ensures compliance, timely reporting, and smooth financial processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, international environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process payments and financial documents, including invoices and journal vouchers.
  • Enter, update, and retrieve accounting data using automated systems.
  • Post financial transactions to the appropriate accounts within the ERP system.
  • Prepare daily bank position reports, perform bank reconciliations, and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Reconcile vendor balances and maintain accurate supplier accounts.
  • Liaise with banking institutions on matters related to the Company's accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual regulatory reports.
  • Organize, file, and archive accounting documentation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide required information.
  • Record supplier invoices and issue credit notes as needed.
  • Support cost control activities and monitor budgets across departments.
  • Prepare VAT and tax returns, as well as other statutory submissions and reconciliations.
  • Process bank transactions within the Company's ERP accounting software.
  • Prepare management reports and financial analyses on a regular and ad-hoc basis.
  • Work with internal teams and Group counterparts on specific assignments and projects.
  • Perform additional finance-related duties as requested by Management and maintain effective communication across departments and the Group.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, or another related field; a Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
  • Excellent command of Greek and English, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Previous experience with SAP ERP will be considered an asset.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, numerical ability, and attention to detail.
  • Innovative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
