Role Overview:

We are seeking a newly qualified or nearly qualified non-life actuary with strong pricing experience to join our team as a Pricing Actuary. This is a senior role for an actuary who can take responsibility for pricing assignments and provide well-supported actuarial opinions. The successful candidate will play an important part in expanding our pricing capability and supporting the growth of our services.

Numisma works with a wide range of insurance clients. Our actuarial team delivers projects across reserving, pricing, risk and related advisory work. As our client base grows, we are increasing our focus on pricing. We are looking for an actuary who can apply established pricing techniques, exercise sound judgement and deliver clear and reliable conclusions.

The role involves analysing data, developing pricing approaches and preparing high-quality reports and presentations. You will work directly with senior individuals in insurance companies, including management teams, actuarial departments and other key stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential, together with the confidence to present findings and explain actuarial reasoning in a structured and professional manner.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead pricing analyses for new and existing non-life insurance products.
• Apply actuarial judgement to develop pricing assumptions and produce well-supported conclusions.
• Analyse claims, exposure and policy data to identify patterns and evaluate portfolio performance.
• Develop, refine and maintain pricing models and tools in line with market practice.
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior stakeholders within insurance companies.
• Present findings clearly to management teams, actuarial committees and other decision-makers.
• Support the design and pricing of new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
• Provide actuarial input on pricing strategy and the financial impact of product or portfolio changes.
• Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure consistent assumptions and strong technical standards.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• Newly qualified or nearly qualified actuary (or equivalent professional stage).
• Strong background in non-life insurance pricing, with hands-on analytical and modelling experience.
• Solid understanding of non-life insurance products, claims dynamics, and pricing methodologies.
• Excellent quantitative, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in actuarial modelling tools and data analytics software (e.g., Excel, R, Python, or similar).
• Familiarity with Solvency II and regulatory reporting requirements in Cyprus or the EU.
• Exposure to, or experience with, the Lloyd's London market pricing will be considered an advantage.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Fluency in English.
