The Trade Marketing Officer is responsible for developing and executing trade marketing strategies to increase product visibility, brand awareness, and sales performance within the retail and distribution channels. The role bridges marketing and sales by implementing marketing activities that drive demand at the point of sale, ensuring the brand performs strongly across all trade outlets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Trade Marketing Planning & Execution

Develop and execute trade marketing plans aligned with brand and sales objectives.

Plan and manage in-store promotional activities, merchandising, and product displays.

Ensure consistent brand communication across all retail and wholesale touchpoints.

Support the launch of new products through trade campaigns and retail activation.

  1. Channel & Category Management

Analyze channel performance (modern trade, general trade, e-commerce, etc.) to identify growth opportunities.

Develop tailored trade programs for different channels and customer segments.

Collaborate with the sales team to optimize product assortment, pricing, and shelf space.

  1. Merchandising & POS Materials

Coordinate the production and distribution of point-of-sale (POS) materials such as posters, wobblers, shelf talkers, and display stands.

Monitor brand visibility and merchandising standards across outlets.

Conduct regular trade visits to ensure compliance with merchandising guidelines.

  1. Promotion & Activation

Plan and implement consumer and trade promotions to drive sales and brand loyalty.

Measure ROI and effectiveness of trade campaigns and recommend improvements.

Support events and sampling programs in coordination with the marketing team.

  1. Market Intelligence & Reporting

Track competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and trade performance.

Analyze sales and market data to identify trends and opportunities.

Prepare regular reports on trade marketing activities, budgets, and results.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of FMCG trade channels.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.

Creative thinking with a strong eye for branding and retail execution.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

2–5 years of experience in trade marketing, sales, or brand management (preferably in FMCG) will be considered.

Fluent in Greek and English
