We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated professional for the position of Senior Accountant, to be based in our offices in Limassol.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain accounting records for the group entities.
  • Entry of invoices and other accounting documents.
  • Issue of invoices and credit notes.
  • Preparation of reconciliation statements for debtors, banks, intercompany and customer balance.
  • Track and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Prepare accounting records in due time for deadlines.
  • Prepare and submit VAT and VIES returns, liaise with Cyprus Tax and VAT authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
  • Process and execute the group payroll monthly, including on-time payment of Social Insurance contributions
  • Meet deadlines for monthly closings and reconciliations, preliminary review, and analysis of the trial balance.
  • Liaise and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Working closely with financial management, in preparing and delivering financial reports as assigned.
  • Perform other accounting duties as required.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • University degree in Accounting/Finance.
  • Newly qualified or partly qualified: ACCA, ACA
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (previous experience in the construction will be considered as an advantage).
  • Good knowledge of accounting systems (Knowledge of E-Soft, Premiersoft will be considered as an advantage).
  • Good knowledge of Greek and English.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good knowledge of the labour legislation including PAYE, Social Insurance, General Health System
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all levels and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
