On behalf of our Client, a well-established Shipping Company, GRS Recruitment are seeking to recruit an Insurance & Claims Assistant Officer to be based in Limassol. If you have the necessary skills and experience, then GRS are looking forward to receiving your CV for this Insurance & Claims Assistant Officer role to be based in Limassol.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handles crew medical cases with all involved and ensures the provision of required treatment to crew
  • Coordinates the medical repatriation of crew and offers assistance and support
  • Assists the crewmembers with their treatment
  • Collects and reviews crew claim documents received from sea going vessels, completes the Claims Sheet, and works closely with the Insurance & Claims Officer for processing of claims
  • Maintains and keeps updated the P&I software
  • Keeps updated about crew who medically disembark and monitors the hospitalization of the Crew in liaison with the corresponding Port Agent (whenever and if required)
  • Obtains Medical Notes and Fit-for-Duty Notes and ensures they are updated
  • Registers crew with the Health Insurance (Allianz). Monitors registration according to crew sign on and off (registration upon sign on and de-registration upon sign off)
  • Registers crew members with the Social or Health Insurance Authorities, in Cyprus
  • Provides Social Insurance Confirmations
  • Undertakes any task or duty assigned by the management

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in Business Management, Law, Labour Relations, or related field
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Excellent Computer Skills (Windows environment, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet)
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
  • Any additional language is an advantage i.e., German, French, Italian
  • Holder of European Union Passport (the company does not provide working visa)
