Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary
Head of Design (Architecture)
to lead the architectural design across our development portfolio in
Cyprus and Italy
.

In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee internal and external design teams and coordinate closely with our Architects of Record and local partners to ensure design excellence, regulatory compliance, and alignment with development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and inspire internal architects, interior designers, and external consultants.
  • Guide projects from concept through construction documentation while ensuring design quality and consistency.
  • Stay current on industry trends, sustainable practices, and region-specific architectural standards.

Regulatory Coordination

  • Act as primary liaison with Architects of Record and local partners in Cyprus and Italy.
  • Oversee planning and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with local codes.
  • Review all documentation for accuracy, quality, and alignment with design intent.

Project Oversight

  • Work closely with development and construction teams to balance design vision with project feasibility, timelines, and budgets.
  • Lead coordination meetings and manage communication among all stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve design-related risks proactively.

Team Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and grow the internal design team.
  • Develop workflows, design guidelines, and QA processes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Architecture (or equivalent)
  • Registered Architect status preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in architectural design, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Strong portfolio of high-quality residential and/or mixed-use developments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in design and project tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, MS Project)
