About the Role

The Legal Project Manager will oversee and coordinate complex legal, compliance, and corporate governance projects across multiple jurisdictions. This role bridges legal expertise with structured project management, ensuring that all legal deliverables are executed efficiently, on time, and in alignment with business objectives.

You will act as the operational backbone of the legal department — improving processes, managing workflows, and supporting the delivery of key regulatory, contractual, and corporate initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute cross-functional legal projects, including regulatory filings, licensing, contract standardization, and policy rollouts.
  • Support the legal team in structuring and tracking project timelines, milestones, and dependencies across departments.
  • Manage communication between internal stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, HR, Finance, Operations) and external advisors or regulators.
  • Develop and maintain project dashboards, reports, and documentation for senior management.
  • Oversee document control, version tracking, and legal documentation repositories.
  • Ensure legal workflows are efficient and aligned with corporate governance requirements.
  • Support risk management by identifying potential legal bottlenecks and escalating critical issues early.
  • Coordinate cross-border entity management activities (board meetings, resolutions, filings).
  • Implement or optimize tools for contract management, task tracking, and knowledge sharing.
  • Assist with budgeting and vendor management for external legal counsel.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); postgraduate or certification in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or project management role — ideally within a multinational, financial services, or regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate law, contracts, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise across functions and jurisdictions.
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and integrity in handling sensitive information.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, or MS Project) and document control systems.
