Role in brief

The Software Support Associate
for Accounting ensures the smooth operation of the company's accounting systems by maintaining Sage X3, and monitoring systems and servers' performance, configuring relevant applications. Responsibilities include daily support for the accounting team, supervising ticketing systems, resolving queries and errors, executing monthly billing processes, and developing custom reports to enhance financial operations

Accountabilities

Additional Billing:

• Manage the monthly additional billing by generating customer invoices from internal database.
• Create and supervise tickets for billing-related issues or feature enhancements.
• Coordinate with development teams to track and ensure timely resolution of billing-related tickets.
• Reconcile data between the systems to ensure consistency, accuracy, and completeness of billing information.

Technical Support:

• Provide first-line support for accounting software Sage X3, addressing user inquiries and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Oversee related systems (expense claims, financial reporting, mass document printing, and various Excel add-ins to ensure seamless integration)
• Administrate relevant tickets within the internal ticketing system.

System Maintenance and Data Integrity:

• Perform regular checks to ensure system performance and the schedulers run smooth imports and exports between accounting and other internal and external systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve error logs by investigating issues such as failed imports, scheduler errors, and reprocess the affected tasks as needed.
• Support the generation of financial reports by ensuring data accuracy and updating historical data with accurate statistical values for reporting needs.

User Training and Assistance:

• Deliver training sessions to new team members to ensure their continuous growth and maintain updated user manuals

Who You Are

• A Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education or experience.
• Requires 2+ years software development experience with a focus on Accounting systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and foundational programming/scripting skills (having knowledge of APIs, PowerBI and database administration is a plus).
• Superior communication and customer service skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet stated deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task and set priorities.
• Strong System literacy (Microsoft 365 Apps, MS Excel (pivots, formulas), Windows Scheduler)
• Abide by the Communication Group policies and procedures as well as the Albourne Group's policies and procedures, including but not limited to compliance reporting, internal database filing, Information, Communications & Cyber Security Policy, Expense & Travel Policy, etc.
• Comply with terms of Albourne Compliance Manuals and Group Policies
• Attend company events upon request.
