The Role

The successful candidate will be involved in, amongst others:

  • Conducting initial analysis of customer transactions using internal/external research tools to assess and determine if the transactions seem rational or if there is reasonable suspicion that the transaction involves money laundering.
  • Identifying suspicious or unusual transactions, non-compliant activity, or increased compliance risk.
  • Accurately documenting rationale for case closure and/or escalating as appropriate.
  • Undertaking prompt closure of eligible alerts not deemed as unusual or suspicious.
  • Determining if additional enquiries are required and escalating as appropriate for non/low quality responses.
  • Preparing customer transaction analysis summaries on request.
  • Payment screening against embargo and sanctions lists.
  • Undertaking any other tasks assigned by management which are related to his/her work.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate and/or Postgraduate degrees in Law, Banking, Business Administration or related disciplines will be considered an advantage.
  • Three (3) - five (5) years of Compliance, Banking, Audit or other Regulatory related work experience in the banking / corporate and / or payment processing industry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong report writing analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness.
  • Strong multitasking, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
  • Excellent command of the English and Greek Languages, both verbal and written.
