Mechanical Engineer – Ref. 6043/ME/ESS/CY

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team and contribute to the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure. In this role, you will support Project and Maintenance Mechanical Engineers by overseeing the mechanical aspects of ongoing projects and maintenance activities at our oil storage terminal. This position involves coordinating with internal teams and external contractors, supervising installations and ensuring high-quality execution of mechanical works while maintaining compliance with safety and technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support project and maintenance teams in planning and execution of mechanical works.
• Supervise mechanical installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and technical standards.
• Participate in risk-based inspections and quality control processes.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of equipment such as valves, pipelines, marine loading arms, and corrosion management systems.
• Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.
• Manage documentation and quality control of works executed on site.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registration with the Scientific Technical Chamber of Cyprus (ETEK).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in engineering or maintenance roles.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Analytical mindset with a results-driven approach.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in project management and inspection processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME, API, and EEMUA.
• Knowledge of piping systems, welding, leak testing, and coating techniques.
