Our client is a major multinational provider of software and services to telecommunications service providers globally.

The Facilities Manager for Cyprus will manage and lead the day-to-day operations of the Soft Services elements of the facilities.

What will your job look like?


• You will plan and manage end-to-end projects within the site (building works,

renovations, space allocation, etc.)


• You will supervise FM & RE experts, maintenance employees, contractors, and

vendors.


• You will plan, manage, and monitor FM & RE suppliers/vendors against contracts.


• You will ensure implementation of safety & security procedures on site as per

local safety requirements as well as per the company's policy.


• You will be responsible for property maintenance of company premises and

equipment, ensuring the cleanliness of sites, and providing high-standard

catering services where needed.


• You will encourage innovative activities aligned with business needs and

supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.


• You will be responsible for the RE budget within the site.


• You will lead consolidation activities within the site to maximize ROI from building

and asset usage.


• You will seek to understand the business challenges and requirements - translate

them into tasks and projects to support business & ensure a smooth and safe

working environment within the site.


• You will manage 5 employees directly, manage matrix contractors, and vendor

contracts, as well as manage small, medium, and large projects with different

levels of complexity.


• You will coordinate lease renewals in collaboration with business units and

procurement whenever it's relevant.

Required 


• You will be working with different kinds of vendors and contractor management.


• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of Facilities.


• You will have the ability to optimize building/s efficiency and strive to lower costs.


• 2-4 years of experience in soft services 


• Basic experience in financial planning & control and/ or inspection and auditing.


• Experience in project management from planning to execution.


• Proven experience in managerial roles and/or matrix management.

Must-haves for this role:

  • The candidates need to be based in Limassol, Cyprus (where the offices are) as we are looking for someone who is able attending the offices as much as it's needed (2 offices in Cyprus – Maritime Center & Limassol D. Nicolaou offices)
  • The candidates need to be Greek Speakers (ideally native speakers) – as this person will be managing not only the offices in Cyprus but also a site in Athens (indirect supervision)
  • Previous experience in managing teams, preferably facilities, EHS, catering & security people
  • Previous experience in financial planning
  • We focus more on the facilities experience rather than the real estate experience – despite the JD, we are not looking for a very technical person
