HR Manager

On behalf of a client, a well-established group, operating in the retail industry, we are currently looking for a HR Manager to join their team in Nicosia.
Objective
The HR Manager acts as a strategic and operational partner to management teams across our brands. The HR Manager plays a crucial role in recruiting top talent, developing internal capabilities, and fostering a high-performance culture that aligns with the company's values and business objectives. This role places particular emphasis on recruitment and selection and training and development across both the hospitality and retail fashion business units.
Position's Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Selection
- Partner with Operations Managers and brand leaders to understand workforce needs and build recruitment plans.
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including sourcing, interviewing, evaluating, and onboarding.
- Develop and maintain talent pipelines for critical roles, with a focus on retail sales teams and hospitality staff.
- Collaborate with marketing for employer branding initiatives to attract top talent in both industries.
- Ensure a smooth and professional candidate experience that reflects the company's culture.
Training & Development
- Identify learning needs in collaboration with department managers.
- Design and coordinate onboarding programs for new hires across departments.
- Support the implementation of training initiatives that enhance service, leadership, and product knowledge.
- Work with external partners or internal trainers to deliver tailored learning programs.
- Monitor training effectiveness and support the development of internal talent.
Performance Review Process
- Lead the design, implementation, and communication of the company's performance review cycle. (Store Level)
- Follow up on KPIs and performance goals aligned with company objectives.
- Guide managers through performance conversations, evaluations, and development planning.
- Analyse performance trends to support succession planning and career development.
- Promote a feedback-driven culture that encourages continuous improvement and recognition.
HR Business Partnering
- Build strong relationships with managers and team leaders to support effective people management.
- Advise on employee relations matters, performance management, and HR policy interpretation.
- Contribute to engagement initiatives and support organisational development strategies.
- Monitor HR KPIs and generate reports to inform business decisions.
- Participate in initiatives to strengthen workplace culture and employee experience.
- Conduct HR Audits
Position's Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field (Master's degree is an advantage).
- 3–5 years of HR generalist or HRBP experience, in retail, hospitality, or multibrand environments is a must.
- Proven experience in recruiting for frontline and managerial roles.
- Experience managing training programs and coordinating performance reviews.
- Sufficient knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Fluent in Greek and English (written and spoken).
