Role Overview

As Head of Accounting and Finance, you will lead the group's global accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and full compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

This role is responsible for financial reporting, tax strategy, group consolidation, treasury oversight, and managing both internal teams and external providers.

You will drive process automation, implement group-wide policies aligned with IFRS and local standards, and support strategic decision-making through timely and reliable financial data.

The role requires strong leadership and operational excellence.

Accounting and compliance oversight:

• Ensure accuracy and consistency of accounting and tax records across all jurisdictions.

• Develop and maintain group-wide accounting policies aligned with local and international standards

• Lead process automation and continuous improvement of accounting workflows.

Team leadership:

• Build and lead an effective accounting team with clearly defined roles.

• Delegate tasks efficiently, implement KPIs, and promote a culture of accountability, motivation, and ongoing professional growth.

Financial, tax, and statutory reporting, group consolidation:

• Oversee timely and accurate preparation of financial and tax reports in each country of operation.

• Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and deadlines.

• Manage the consolidation of financial data across all group entities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance with applicable standards (e.g. IFRS).

• Streamline intercompany reconciliations and deliver clear, timely consolidated reports for management and stakeholders.

Tax strategy and risk management:

• Monitor developments in local and international tax regulations.

• Ensure accuracy and compliance in all tax-related matters. Lead initiatives for tax efficiency in line with the group's financial strategy.

• Collaborate with external advisors on audits, inspections, and dispute resolution.

Treasury and cash flow management:

• Oversee corporate treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and bank relationship management.

• Implement strategies to support the group's financial health and funding requirements.

Outsourcing and vendor oversight:

• Manage relationships with outsourced accounting providers across jurisdictions.

• Set performance expectations, ensure service quality, and maintain integration with internal processes.

• Optimize cost-effectiveness while maintaining high compliance standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education
: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, ACA) preferred.

Experience
: 5+ years in senior accounting or finance roles, ideally in an international and multi-entity environment.

Technical Knowledge
:

• Strong knowledge of IFRS
• Solid understanding of cross-border tax compliance and reporting
• Experience with group consolidation, statutory reporting, and intercompany reconciliations
• Familiarity with treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity planning

Systems & Tools
: Proficiency in ERP systems (1C, SAP, or similar); experience in accounting process automation is a plus.

Leadership Skills
: Proven ability to build and manage high-performing accounting teams; strong delegation and performance management.

Language
: Fluent English (Russian/Greek are a plus)
