Position Overview

DOUMMAR MEP Contracting seeks an experienced Site Electrical Engineer for a specialized assignment in Larnaca, Cyprus for 2 years. This position offers the opportunity to lead full-scope electrical works on major international infrastructure projects while benefiting from comprehensive expatriate support including accommodation and annual home leave.

The successful candidate will join our dynamic MEP team delivering world-class electrical systems and power distribution networks. This role requires a skilled professional with extensive experience in Power and ow Current Systems capable of working in a multicultural environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design and Engineering

  • Design and specify electrical power distribution systems based on project requirements
  • Develop lighting design systems in compliance with aviation and European standards
  • Create detailed fire alarm and security systems designs for terminal facilities

Project Coordination and Management

  • Collaborate with client and consultants on electrical specifications
  • Coordinate with architectural and MEP teams on integrated design solutions
  • Manage electrical systems installation, testing, and commissioning phases

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with European electrical codes and Cyprus local regulations
  • Perform electrical system testing, inspections and technical reviews
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and electrical specifications

Technical Support and Problem Resolution

  • Provide technical support during electrical installation and commissioning phases
  • Resolve electrical systems issues and optimize performance
  • Conduct site inspections and coordinate with electrical contractors

Qualifications And Requirements
Education and Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited institution
  • Professional engineering registration preferred but not required
  • Additional certifications in power systems, lighting design, or fire alarm systems advantageous

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years professional electrical engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience in power distribution system design and implementation
  • Large-scale construction or infrastructure project experience preferred

Technical Knowledge

  • AutoCAD Electrical proficiency required for electrical drawings and schematics
  • Revit MEP experience required for electrical BIM coordination
  • Knowledge of European electrical codes and power system standards
  • Understanding of airport infrastructure and aviation facility electrical requirements

Key Competencies

  • Fluent English language skills for international project communication
  • Greek language skills preferred but not required
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities
  • Excellent teamwork and cross-cultural communication skills
