We are hiring a Business Growth Manager within our Banking team, focused on opening and servicing business bank accounts for clients. Your mission is to expand payabl.'s footprint in payments by driving client acquisition, building partnerships, and growing our portfolio in low, medium and high-risk verticals.
payabl. is in a growth phase, with two operating licenses, new IBANs and currencies launching, and strong brand recognition in Cyprus. This role offers the opportunity to join a competitive product company that is expanding its credibility across European markets.
Reporting Line: Senior Business Growth Manager.
Location: Hybrid set up from our office in Limassol.
What you will do:
- Develop and execute client acquisition strategies, with a strong focus on business bank accounts.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of merchants and introducers across low, medium and high-risk verticals (holding companies, software & game developers, marketing companies, crypto, forex, gaming, tech, etc.).
- Generate leads through HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn, existing portfolio clients, and introducer networks.
- Drive the full sales cycle: outreach → intro call → pricing → compliance (CDD) → onboarding.
- Stay actively engaged during onboarding, ensuring deals go live and clients are activated.
- Navigate central bank and EU regulatory requirements to prevent onboarding delays.
- Manage structured pipeline reporting using Excel/Google Suite, alongside HubSpot or Apollo (Salesforce or similar tools also acceptable).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Banking Ops, Compliance, Legal, CRM) to deliver seamless onboarding.
- Represent payabl. at local and European industry events, building relationships and reinforcing brand credibility.

With a keen understanding of the payments and fintech landscape, you excel at creating opportunities and closing deals. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and approach challenges with a proactive, "hunter" mentality.
What we need:
Must-Have:
- 3–5 years' experience in business development or sales within fintech, EMIs, or corporate banking.
- Proven ability to acquire clients and grow markets in payments or banking products.
- Portfolio of High, Medium or Low risk clients.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive "sales ninja" mentality, by being persistent, hands-on, and able to learn market knowledge quickly.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Well-presented and confident communicator, suited for high-level client interactions and willingness to travel.
Good-to-Have:
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Apollo, Salesforce, or other CRM tools.
- Experience with Excel/Google Suite for pipeline management.

Hiring Process
- First interview – Screening with Talent Acquisition team member (30–40 min).
- Second interview – With Hiring Manager + TA (60-min deep dive into portfolio, sales track record, and onboarding experience.
- Final interview – Behavioral interview with CEO + TA to assess team and cultural fit.
