Accounting Assistant

Role Description:

  • Maintaining accounting and bookkeeping records for the company
  • Performing day-to-day financial transactions
  • Posting of accounting records, issuance of invoices, accounting data entry
  • Reconciliation of accounts (Banks, customers, suppliers)
  • Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed
  • Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports for management
  • Assist team in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings, and annual audits
  • Preparation of income tax and VAT returns
  • Carry out any other tasks in line with the accounting duties
  • Report to the company’s financial controller

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting, finance, and bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with accounting software and financial statements
  • Ability to accurately handle numerical data
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with other teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • Fluency in Greek and English is required
  • 2 years of relevant experience in accounting is a must
  • Knowledge of CYCOM/SOFIA accounting will be considered as an advance
