About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior WinOps Engineer to join our team at Emerald Zebra. As a key member of our WinOps team, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining large-scale cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS and GCP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our multi-cultural team to enhance your working practices and drive innovation in cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement and enforce cloud security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Optimize cloud costs by analyzing usage patterns, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing cost-saving strategies.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of infrastructure resources.
  • Ensure high availability of production environments and minimize downtime through proactive monitoring, rapid troubleshooting, and effective incident response.
  • Employ Agile methodology to deliver incremental improvements and respond quickly to changing requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve systems and processes.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Windows systems administration, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and TCP/IP stacks.
  • Experience working with large-scale cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS and GCP.
  • Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and concepts.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology, CI/CD concepts, and Git versioning.
  • Ability to write and review scripts as needed, with a focus on automation and process improvement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with an additional development language such as Python, GO, C++, or .Net.
  • Knowledge of MetaTrader 5 (MT5) Administration.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Configuration management platforms such as Octopus Deploy.
  • Linux System Administration.
