Job Overview

We are assisting a growing fintech company in expanding their Business Development team in Cyprus.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities, managing and executing business development strategies, and establishing partnerships with new B2B clients in the fintech and FX/CFDs industry.

This role is ideal for a motivated relationship builder with a strong commercial mindset who enjoys negotiating partnership agreements and driving financial performance. The position offers hybrid working and opportunities to attend business meetings, conferences, and industry events both locally and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the fintech and FX/CFDs sectors.
  • Develop and implement business development plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish, maintain, and grow strong B2B relationships and partnerships.
  • Negotiate partnership and commercial agreements to maximize profitability.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, compliance, and operations) to support business initiatives.
  • Attend local and international conferences, meetings, and industry events to promote the company's services.
  • Track and report business development performance against KPIs and goals.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the fintech and FX/CFDs industry (core requirement).
  • Minimum 3 years of proven success in business development, institutional sales, or dealing within fintech/CFDs (highly desirable).
  • Excellent knowledge of business development, client relationship management, and trading desk operations (core requirement).
  • Knowledge of risk management and market analysis, including basic technical and fundamental analysis (highly desirable).
  • Strong self-management, creativity, and problem-solving skills with an innovative mindset (core requirement).
  • Proven negotiation skills with a strong track record of closing deals (core requirement).
  • Demonstrated success in B2B sales with excellent networking capabilities (highly desirable).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident presentation abilities (core requirement).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment under pressure (core requirement).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.

  • Existing network of B2B contacts within the fintech or FX/CFDs sectors.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital lead-generation tools.
