Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Payroll Assistant located in Limassol, Cyprus. The Payroll Assistant will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. Day-to-day tasks include handling payroll administration, payroll taxes, and payroll-related accounting functions to support the payroll management team.

Key Responsibilities:


• Input, process, and update payroll data in the company's information systems


• Collect, record, and verify employee information (e.g. contracts, schedules, leaves, absences, overtime, etc.) for payroll purposes


• Issue and distribute pay slips and provide support to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries


• Prepare and submit reports on salaries, deductions, payroll costs, and other statistical data to relevant departments


• Assist in the calculation of employer contributions and other tax obligations (Social Insurance, PAYE, etc.)


• Ensure compliance with current labor, tax, and social insurance legislation, as well as internal company policies


• Collaborate with external parties (such as accountants, auditors, or public authorities) to provide information or clarifications


• Update payroll procedures and propose improvements to payroll workflows and systems


• Identify and resolve issues related to discrepancies or errors in payments promptly


• Support the annual salary review, benefits, and HR budgeting process

Qualifications:


• University degree or equivalent qualification in one or more of the following fields (or a combination thereof): Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration


• Proven experience in a similar role


• Excellent computer literacy
