Role Description

We are currently seeking a
Payments Operations Manager
for a full-time, on-site position based in
Limassol, Cyprus
. The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end payment operations, including daily processing, reconciliation, treasury activities, and transaction monitoring. This role is responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all payment flows, maintaining optimal liquidity and cash positions, and executing key financial and operational tasks that support smooth, secure, and compliant payment processing within a fast-paced environment.

Job responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliations:
    Oversee and execute daily reconciliations across all banking and payment accounts.
  • Fee Calculation & Proposals:
    Calculate internal and external fees; prepare tailored client pricing proposals based on transaction volumes and risk profile.
  • Client Settlement & Reporting:
    Monitor and report on settlements and transactional flows; ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal teams and clients.
  • Fee Benchmarking:
    Conduct periodic analysis of market rates and competitor fees to ensure pricing competitiveness.
  • Treasury Management:
    Manage the full payment cycle assist in cash flow management, fund movements, and bank instructions for high-value transactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure alignment with financial reporting obligations under regulations; support preparation of reports for the Central Bank or other regulators, preparations of annual and quarterly reports.
  • Internal Controls:
    Help define and implement robust internal financial controls, especially for funds management and client money handling.
  • Collaboration:
    Work closely with compliance, operations, accountants, auditors and client teams to ensure seamless flow of financial information, service delivery and identify financial risks in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a finance/accounting role within fintech, payments, or EMI/PSP environment.
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation tools, banking systems, and fee structures.

Preferred

  • Experience in working with cross-border payments, FX, or OTC desks.
  • Hands-on experience with virtual IBANs, digital assets, or settlement platforms.
