About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated
Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
to join our clients team and ensure full compliance with Maltese frameworks (MFSA) which is similiar to CySEC . The successful candidate will act as the Company's appointed MLRO, responsible for implementing, overseeing, and continuously enhancing our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance framework.

The role is based in
St. Julian's, the heart of Malta's financial hub
, offering a dynamic and professional environment within an expanding international financial services company.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance Oversight:
• Ensure full adherence to all applicable laws, directives, and regulations issued by the
  Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA)
  , the
  Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU)
  , and other relevant authorities.
• Policy Development & Implementation:
• Design, update, and enforce the Company's
  AML/CFT, KYC, and compliance policies
  , ensuring their effective integration into daily operations.
• Risk Management:
• Conduct ongoing
  compliance risk assessments
  , determine monitoring priorities, and ensure that compliance risks are comprehensively identified and mitigated.
• Internal Controls & Auditing:
• Review and strengthen internal guidelines and control measures; maintain detailed audit records supported by documentation.
• Monitoring & Reporting:
• Detect and record any breaches or weaknesses in compliance, escalating critical findings to the
  Board of Directors
  and
  Senior Management
  .
• Prepare and submit required reports to relevant authorities, auditors, and the Board.
• Training & Awareness:
• Develop and deliver
  AML/CTF training programs
  to ensure all employees are knowledgeable and up to date with current regulations and internal procedures.
• Client Onboarding Oversight:
• Ensure strict adherence to the
  Client Acceptance Policy
  and
  Due Diligence
  procedures for new client applications.
• Regulatory Liaison:
• Serve as the
  primary point of contact
  for the MFSA, managing all compliance-related queries and correspondence.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other departments to investigate and resolve compliance matters, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across the organization.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Attend professional seminars and courses to maintain up-to-date expertise in regulatory changes and best practices.

Requirements

• Professional Qualifications:
• CySEC Advanced Certification
  (mandatory)
• AML Certification
  (mandatory – e.g., ICA, ACAMS, or equivalent)
• Experience:
• Minimum
  3–5 years of experience
  in a Compliance or MLRO role within a regulated financial services company (preferably under MFSA/CySEC frameworks).
• Strong understanding of EU AML Directives, FIAU Implementing Procedures, and MFSA regulatory requirements.
• Skills & Attributes:
• Excellent knowledge of AML, CTF, and KYC best practices.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity and professional judgment.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the business.

Other Requirements:

• Must be willing to
  relocate and work on-site in St. Julian's, Malta
  .
• Fluent in
  English
  (written and spoken).
