On behalf of our client, a steadily growing company in shipping sector and specifically an International Classification Society company based in Limassol, we are seeking to hire an
IT Operation Officer
.

With a manpower of more than 50 employees in Cyprus and abroad the company is a fast growing and progressive organization seeking to employ an IT Project Administrator to manage and coordinate our digital transformation and digitalization efforts in various levels as well as strengthen our business development department.

The successful candidate shall report to the Top Management.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer company IT infrastructure including hardware (laptops, printers, scanners) and software to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Set up, configure, and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access through Active Directory and Microsoft Tenants.
• Provide 1st level IT support for network issues, VPNs, phones, emails, and remote users.
• Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, Fortinet firewall, time attendance and 3CX phone systems.
• Oversee server management, asset tracking, and procurement of IT equipment.
• Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure service continuity.
• Support and participate in ongoing projects (software development) and participate in bug identification and resolution.
• Manage company's website, social media accounts and email communication channels via Mailchimp.
• Maintain IT quality documentation including checklists, certificates, and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven 1 – 3 years of experience in IT administration or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365 tenant administration (including SharePoint and Azure).
• Experience with network administration and security, including VPNs, firewalls (Fortinet preferred), and remote access solutions.
• Familiar with VoIP systems administration (3CX or similar).
• Solid troubleshooting skills at 1st level IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Experience managing IT vendors and coordinating external service providers.
• Basic knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Basic software development and scripting skills, preferably in Python, for automation, data processing, and system support.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jira, Slack) and user/role management in software platforms.
• Understanding of IT compliance and audit processes.
• Strong communication skills for daily coordination with internal teams, external vendors, and developers.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks independently with a proactive approach.
• Good organizational skills and documentation maintenance.
• Knowledge of the maritime, shipping industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
