The QRS Department is handling matters pertaining to Compliance; Regulatory; Anti-Money Laundering (AML); Ethics; Anti-Corruption; Independence and Risk Management for the entire Deloitte Middle East & Cyprus region. This is a unique opportunity to engage in cross-border collaboration with Deloitte professionals across the Deloitte network, broadening your knowledge and building your competencies and skills.

The Risk, Quality and Engagement Lifecycle Operations Role

This role supports the Quality Monitoring team in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of risk and control frameworks. It includes leading independent quality reviews, monitoring adherence to regulatory and internal standards, and providing insights to strengthen governance and compliance throughout the engagement lifecycle.

The successful candidate's key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive quality monitoring reviews across business processes to ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks.
  • Supporting second line of defense activities by monitoring the effectiveness of risk controls across the business, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards, and recommending improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Assisting with 'in-flight' monitoring of ongoing projects to facilitate timely risk identification and escalation, issue tracking, and providing support to project teams.
  • Supporting deep-dive reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of project governance and oversight, identifying gaps, and ensuring alignment with organizational standards and best practices.
  • Developing and refining quality monitoring methodologies to ensure alignment with best practices and global requirements.
  • Preparing reports and dashboards with key findings, trends, and recommendations for senior management.
  • Collaborating with first-line teams and Quality Champions within the business to drive improvements in risk management and control execution.
  • Training and mentoring junior team members to foster a strong culture of quality and risk awareness.
  • Providing ad hoc support for various projects as required.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in similar roles, with experience in a Big Four environment strongly preferred, particularly within risk or quality functions.
  • Solid understanding of Quality Management frameworks, as well as business and operational risk.
  • Adaptable and open to change, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with visualisation/dashboard tools such as Power BI and Salesforce.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
  • Project management skills, including the capability to oversee quality initiatives and ensure their timely execution.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams and manage stakeholder relationships across cross-functional groups and senior leadership.
