The Island Private School of Limassol is seeking a competent, experienced Montessori Pre-Primary Teacher to join our team end of January 2026 and inspire young learners in a nurturing, creative, and engaging environment. Montessori experience is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the lead teacher to create and implement lesson plans and activities that align with the Montessori method.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the classroom environment, including setting up materials and equipment.
  • Setting an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness.
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, stimulating classroom where all children feel safe and valued.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress and writing up reports.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes independence, self-confidence, and respect for others.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to ensure that they are informed of their child's progress and development.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensuring classroom supplies and equipment are available and in working condition.
  • Participating in school activities and accompanying students on field trips.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Education or a related field.
  • Montessori certification is an advantage.
  • Passionate about alternative education.
  • An ability to teach groups of children of varying ages, needs, and abilities.
  • Patience and excellent observational, communication, and diagnostic skills.
  • The ability to multitask, keep calm under pressure, and treat everyone with love and respect.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • A lifelong learner who can be a good role model for children.
  • English B1.
