The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Legal Advisor to join our team in Nicosia. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment and is looking for a position that offers both challenge and impact. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Legal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day legal support across the Group entities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts including commercial services and other agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws related to the operations of
  • Offer legal advice and strategic support on regulatory and compliance matters, particularly relating to derivatives, Contract for Difference (CFDs) and financial services.
  • Support the Head of Legal in coordinating legal matters across regions, conducting legal research, and monitoring regulatory developments to ensure proactive risk management.
  • Assist the Head of Legal & DPO with data protection matters, including handling data subject rights requests, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations, and supporting the development of related policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with external counsel to ensure cost-effective, high-quality legal support.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, internal templates, and legal processes.
  • Prepare reports and coordinate responses to requests from auditors, banks, regulators, and external professionals.
  • Ensure organisational compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions and communicate effectively with stakeholders from diverse cultural backgrounds

Experience and Skills Required

  • Holder of a Law degree (Bachelor's / Master's) from a recognised university.
  • Admission to the Cyprus Bar Association / admitted to practice law in the European Union
  • Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience as a commercial lawyer at a law firm and/or as an in-house legal advisor.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within a corporate or financial services environment.
  • Fluency in English both in written and spoken, with strong legal drafting skills.
  • Proven problem-solving and multitasking abilities, with strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive and adaptable approach, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and committed to delivering high-quality work.
