Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant Accountant, located in Nicosia. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for daily financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and receivable. Additionally, the Assistant Accountant will support the senior accounting staff with ad hoc tasks.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Relevant experience in accounting is a plus
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience with SAGE will be considered as an advantage
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is not required but will considered as a plus
  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance is beneficial
